How strict is your state

when it comes to getting your driver's license renewed? What do you have to bring to the DMV?

 I ususally just do it online. I just need my license. Nothing special.

Haven't been to the DMV since I got my name changed on my license.

Florida is crazy now! You have to have your birth certificate, your social security card, a utility bill, marriage certificate, it's insane! I've already renewed once online 6 years ago and I'm not sure if there's a limit to how many times you can renew it online. My license expires this year and I'm NOT looking forward to getting it renewed!

Just my active driver's license.  All I had to bring with me to change my last name on it was my marriage license.

I guess it depends on if it expired. So online if not expired. If you go to the office and its not expired you don't need anything except the old license. If it has expired all you need is your birth certificate and old license.

i have an envope with basicly everything ......but most of the time i dont need it....i just bring it just in case..i live in indiana
