Once again my kids get the shaft by my SIL......

I have had my daughters birthday event up on FB for 2 mo about her birthday being at Brunswick Zone, Lexi will be 7 and is so excited to finally have a party outside the house. Well, my SIL (who is pregnant) decided she is having her daughters 4th birthday at Brunswick Zone and her birthday party will be on April 7th and my daughters is May 12th.  I am now trying to convince my daughter to have her birthday somewhere else since we have to invite basically all the same people to the birthday party.  I am so irked its not even funny. My BIL and SIL claim they didnt know but they both RSVP'd Yes already to my daughters birthday party. I know its stupid to be angry about but since they plan on leaving my son's 1st communion party early just for their friends son's Baptism party makes me crazy. Its like my kids aren't important.

Don't reschedule, why would you change it? Yours was planned first, so what if people have to go there twice in a months time.

I know but hers is before mine so I hate looking like a copy cat and she has done this to me before. Trying to convince my daughter to go to CEC since my SIL hates it there LOL

don't reschedule- go to thiers & let your DD see how they do it then if she'd like to try things a different way let her choose. enjoy the fun & if they are leaving the baptism party early- OH well it is their loss. sometimes an appearance is all you can ask of some ppl. Hugs & you know that your kids are important to those who truely matter!!

If your daughter wants that party then make her happy and don't reschedule! Sure, it's annoying that she is planning basically the same party but just blow her off! Don't let her get to you. Those kind of people are just selfish and will never change.

I wouldn't change it, go with what you already planned. I can't see anyone complaining about where a kid's party is held.

You are right. I will leave it up to my daughter. I'm sure she wont' care they do LOVE brunswick bowling wiht the lights and music. Guess I shouldn't let her bring everything down, the people on FB that I sent it to first know I planned it first.

Why allow you SIL ruin your daughters birthday just because she planned her daughter's party there also.... Your daughter will most probably be happy wherever her birthday is as long as she's the center of attention that day.....

Don't reschedule your party. The fact that your party was planned first shows she can't think and do things for herself

If it were me, I would go to the party your SIL has planned, make mental notes on what she does and then up my game in any areas that are lacking.(i.e. Better cake, better goody bags, etc) However, that is just me.
