No kids, no SO. And I don't mean for a family emergency or work something. I mean "I am going to Tahiti for a week just for the fun of it" kind of vacation.

No, I'd at least want my husband there with me.

No, but not because I wouldn't want to be alone, because I am too afraid to be that far away from home alone. I have A LOT of anxiety.

Not now, I wouldn't. I backpacked around Europe a couple of times when I was single on my own.

If we owned a cabin or I was going to a spa then maybe. I wouldn't mind some quiet me time. A week in Tahiti by myself, never.

I've never gone to Tahiti or anything to far. But , when we have the finances , I do go to Morongo casino alone once a year for 2 nights. I get a fab spa day, lounge at the lazy river, maybe gamble a bit, and eat my heart out, lol! Bring a bottle of vodka with me to have a drink or two on the cheap. And I adore it! I miss hubs (which is good for me) and the kids, and I recharge. Fantastic!

Yes and i have. for my birthday weekend once (not ON my birthday, that day i spent with my family) i went 6 hours to the beach, got a hotel for 2 days, spent some alone time just sitting on the beach almost all day, letting the waves hit me, letting the sand run between my fingers, then a nice long sleep at night in the hotel with it icy cold the way i like it for once, since DH and DD hate it cold in the house. i ate out by myself, i got to take nice long baths anytime i wanted, and i got the nice long car ride with my own music, by myself.

it was heaven.

just a month and a half ago we went for a FAMILY trip to the beach :)

I've done it! I saved my income tax when I was a single mom. I sent my four yr old to visit family. I signed medical power of atty to my uncle.
Booked my flight and hotel and off to Miami. five days. I can't tell you how freeing it is it is to not have to ask anyone what they want to do.
I went where I wanted, bought things I wanted, no need to ask where they want to eat, it was all about me! :) I even have a candy bowl of sand from there for a reminder.
*sigh* I'd be happy just for another vacation...kids and all

Yes, I would and I would go far, far away if I could. LOL. I love my family very much and I would miss them, but I would love to travel more and I don't. My dh has been able to take fun vacations by himself so I don't see why I shouldn't be able to. Of course, I would only do it if I had all my bases at home covered. The other reason is because I NEVER get to be alone. EVER. We don't have any family in this state, so we don't have the luxury of dropping our dd off with the grandparents or anything like that. We do have friends, but we'd want to pay them for babysitting. So, I usually don't get a chance to get out and do anything. Before I had my dd and got married, I reveled in being alone. I don't get bored and lonely like a lot of people do. I love to paint, and read. I can't remember the last time I got to curl up with a book, or paint for hours undisturbed. Damn! I need one of these alone vacations.
