I like to make my own frappaccinos (sp?) at home. I make my coffee sweet & creamy while still hot, then freeze. I throw it in a blender with coconut milk (or whatever flavors I might have on hand) & blend. I am actually enjoying one right now.
I like to make movie theatre popcorn (using fake oil/butter....or whatever it's called, & fine salt) on family movie nights.
Looking for more ideas.
I LOOOOOVE making Copycat recipes!
My favorites are McDonalds Nuggets and McGriddles
I made a fantastic copy of Domino's Stuffed Cheesy Bread and their Tuscan Salami and Veggie Artisian Pizza
For a spicy kick Red Robin's Burnin Love Burger or Dairy Queen's Flamethrower
I am super proud of my Cadbury Creme Eggs
I make a killer frappaccino drink that I modified from http://dashingdish.com/ she uses alot of artificial sweeteners that I dont like but the concept ROCKS!
I use
1/2 cup cottage cheese
1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder
2 TB of your favorite flavored coffee creamer
1 TB instant coffee(or 1 packet Sarbuck Via)
raw sugar to taste(I dont use it because of the flavored creamer, but some like it a little sweeter)
ice cubes
and water to thin if necessary
Blend all very well...
Fried chicken. Once in a blue moon I will fry up a batch of it.

For those who like the occaisional "junk food" dinner, but like to control the ingredients. What is your favorite copy cat recipe? My mom was the master at copying McDonalds Big Mac (it was my favorite as a teen).

I have two recipe books that I ordered from ABC with tons of copycat recipes. Too bad I've never used them....lol.
I had the link for one of the books in pdf but I deleted it when I bought the copy.
McDonald's Frozen Strawberry Lemonade, yummy! Also, Taco Bell burritos.
