I LOVE how my famiily came together today to celebrate my moms life. It was a truly special day, where we truly just loved on one another, and celebrated as well as honored my mothers life.
We all wore purple today because it was my mother request that we did not wear black. We wore purple because I was such a tomboy, that the ONLY dress she could ever get me to wear was this purple velvet dress for Christmas. We were able to raise enough money for my brother to get a plane ticket home.

I'm the head you see peeking through bawling my eyes out. The lady on the left side of the picture hugging me is my Aunt Trish, and the lady on the right is my Aunt Billie. (Mom had 3 sisters, she was the baby).
My Mother in law, was keeping to her promise she made my mom, and comforting me, and telling me something she had promised my mom she would tell me after she passed. My mom and mother in law bonded with one another. The last 3 years they bonded even more so. My mom and her talked daily. (My husband and I have been together since 2000).
Two Betty's talking to one another. The one in the dark Purple is my Grandma Betty, the one in the real light purple it looks almost white is my husbands Grandma Betty, and Grandpa Joe. Ironically both Betty's are my husbands and my Mothers', Mother's.

Cousin Missy and I. She used to baby sit me as a kid! lol. (There is 20 years difference from the oldest cousin to the youngest cousin) lol. Cousin Missy and I had a special bond growing up. we still do. Love my cousin SO much! She got my moms side beautiful Puerto Rican Skin. I ended up with my Dad's Fair Irish Skin.

My Aunt Kathy (2nd sister) and I. We are close, her and my mother were also very close.
My Cheese ball brother, with my cheese ball son. lol. I love how they have the same smile! My son TOTALLY looks more like his uncle than his mama, but then again, for YEARS people thought that my brother and I were twins. I am the oldest and he is the youngest. BUT he shot up to the same size as me and was the same size as me for a long itme.
This pictures freaks the entire family out a bit. We believe we see two shawdows there, one would be my mom, and the other would be my aunt who was like a second mother to us. My dad was in the kids bathroom using it, and my husband in our bathroom using it, and it was just my two sons (baby in the swing) older one playing with my son, and myself. I was sitting down taking these photos. No WAY anything or anyone of this world could make this shadow. The next photo is the very next photo.
