We researched it, but every pediatrician we interviewed thought that cord blood banking research was in its infancy and the uses were too limited to justify the cost.  We didn't do it.

No, but may I please ask that each of you who are pregnant please donate your cord blood the Leukemia and Lymphoma society's Be the Match program? It could save a life.

I did, with my last two. My mother saw something on the Today show about it and so she paid for it for my kids and my brother's.

i did it. When i had my second i did. the hospital here had a program with DUKE University. They banked it for free. If another child needs it then they get to use and they will call and let us know that they are using it for another child. but if my child ever needs it and it has not been used then we can use it.
