What's your car history?

 Most of us have been driving better than 15 years (based on an average age of 18 to get license and an average age of 35 years for moms in this group).  What's your car history?

I've had a Nissan Sentra, Geo Metro, Nissan Maxima, Ford Taurus, Mazda 626 (for DH), a newer Ford Taurus and now a Ford Focus.  My car history is used and cheap to buy, but not to maintain, except for my current car.  It's got fabulous gas mileage.  The first two cars were given to me by my parents...the rest I bought.

So let's hear it...

I've never had my own car. So I'll start with the ones DH had and the ones we bought together. 

1989 Lincoln Town car. This car broke so he bought a
1988 Datsun truck.  We traded this in for a 
1998 Mitsubishi Galant. This car got totaled so we then got a
2001 Mitsubishi Galant. This car got repo'ed after him getting laid off. We bought a
1998 Dodge Shadow. We sold this and bought my dad's single cab
1998 Chevy Silverado. I got pregnant  for our second childso we traded this in for a 
2003 Chevy Trailblazer. It got repo'ed after him getting laid off again. We drive a 
2004 Mazda MPV minivan now. It's almost paid off then DH will get a truck. Once his truck gets paid off we'll trade my van in for a Yukon XL.  

By the way, I got my license at 15. I got it one year before they changed the legal driving age to 16 here in Louisiana.

First was a 1983 chevy malibu stationwagon
Second was a 1994 pontiac transport
Third a 1989 ford tempo
And last was a 1999 ford taurus. Now we have nothing.

 My dad gave me a used Buick Riviera for my first car, then traded it for a Beretta. Then I bought a 97 Grand Am, upgraded to a 2000 Grand Am. Now I've got a 2007 Equinox.

My first car at 16 was an old used Mazda with a trunk and hood a different color than the rest of the car. Then I had a Chevy cavalier, Mazda mx-6, Pontiac Grand Am, Pontiac Montana mini van and now we drive a Chevy hhr and a ford freestyle. There is another car in there with the mx-6, but for the life of me I can't remember what make and model it was.

My first car was a Ford Taurus, them we had a pontiac sunfire then a KIA sorento, then a dodge caliber, now I have a dodge Dakota.

I had a 69 Chevy Nova from 16 - 22, a Neon from 22- 30, and from 30 to now a mitsubishi gallant. I paid for each of my cars cash no loans no debt.
