Not that I could actually afford to go this year(and not that she deserves to go this year),but there is a country music concert that I know she would love to go to,with me of course.I know that its loud and sometimes people can do inappropriate things. But I often wonder, whats a good age to go with your kids?

Age is not a huge factor to us. It is their interest and tolerance level...

My DH wants to take our 10 year old to Mayhem Fest next year, our 8 year old really wants to see Dropkick Murphys.... IF Gogol Bordello comes anywhere near us anytime soon we would take all 3 kids(5, 8 and 10)

I saw my first concert when I was 5.....

Depends on the type of music , but I'd say 8 for pop style shows

depends on the concert..I would not take them to a bob marley festival or heavy metal..otherwise any age..

we went to EDBD 2 years ago and i wish i'd let my son go. he was 9 at the time.  the whole day my husband and i kept saying "he would LOVE this!".  i regret not taking him.  the younger ones though, i wouldn't have taken.  it's a day long thing and they would have been cranky and pissy after an hour. i've got a friend that regularly takes her 6 year old to pop and country concerts.

I say tween, yet I am unsure. It really depends the type of music she's into and the atmosphere.

My husband likes heavy metal bands. mostly and the atmosphere is unacceptable for children under the age of 16-18 according to myself. But together we like bands such as 311, Sublime with Rome, and Foster The People so it wouldn't be as bad to take DD to some of those shows once she is older.

My first concert was when I was 4. My parents took me or should I say dragged me to see the Temptations. lol... But I still remember every bit of the concert and clinging to my Alf doll.

My husband was 14 when he saw Blue Oyster Cult.
