Do you like where you are living right now? Why or why not?
It is an old victorian house with 3200 sq ft. I love that we can have two living rooms for adults and kids. I love the origional, UNPAINTED woodwork from 1910. I love the bay windows. I love the grand entry. I love the rewired origional light fixtures.
I also love the small, rural town. It is like the 50s never left here. All the neighbors know eachother and help out. We moved in on my daughter's 5th bday and everyone was so worried that we would not have time to make her a cake (the realitor is from this town and toldpeople about us before we moved in. We mentioned to him that we were moving on her bday) that the neighbors each baked her a cake. We had 5 cakes LOL.
Yes & no, it's a great area..great schools, etc but I hate how far Hubby has to drive for work. And we've outgrown this house so we need something bigger!
We love our neighborhood and honestly, if we decide against having a second child, I think we can deal with our smaller flat condo with no yard or garage or anything, but if we decide to have another child, we'll have to find a new house, and I'll require a yard, so that rules most condos in our neighborhood out....but otherwise, it's great. heck, if our condo was just slightly larger in a couple of rooms, I'd deal with no yard even with a second child.
House- For the most part. I wouldn't mind my scrapbook room being a little bigger.
I'm mostly content here I think.
city....no it sucks
Yes and no. The house we live in is a 3 bedroom 1 bathroom family owned home. It was built by my grandfather (he was a carpenter) and his friends. My mom lived here when she was young, and I was raised here as well. I have many memories of this house, and when DH and I got married it's where we lived and are currently raising our children.
As for the house itself, no I don't care for it. It's got brown panel walls in every room and a hard linoleum floor. My grandmother doesn't want us to change anything and since we don't pay rent we don't have much of an argument.
Also the location is near everything, but it's not a great school district. We want to move one town over. That's where most of our friends are, better schools, better sports and a better community as a whole.
Yes, I'm very happy. We've got a great home, my boyfriend has put a ton of work into it. I do not want to move any time soon!
I do love living here - near family....even though being so close to family is a 'mixed blessing'.
But - I love where we are moving to even more. I know it is going to be VERY hard living half-way around the world from everyone....but I can't imagine not living in Israel as soon as possible.
