Thinking Of Home Schooling For My 2 1/2 year old

I am terrified of sending my son to private or public school. Have any moms have experience with this?

I just feel like he would get more attention than being in a big pond. But I also want him to be social as well so I am a little scared

Happy Homeschoolers is a great group.

We've homeschooled until this year because I am going to complete my nursing degree. They are going into 1st and 2nd grades.

We truly LOVE homeschooling but with the economy the way it is, I really need to be able to finish school and work.

I look at it this way, as long as you are ACTIVE in your childs education, no matter where they attend then they thrive!

Do you notice a difference with them than other kids who are in public/private school?

Have you looked into Montessori schools?

I think this is every new homeschoolers concern.  But once you get into it you find it's really a non-issue.  Spend some time googling about homeschooling and you will find plenty of info on this.  My children are all outgoing and get along really well with others.  When speaking to an adult they look them in the eye.  There is 3 different homeschooling groups in my area.  Plus homeschool PE, art class, choir, Spanish.  Then of course there is non homeschool things like boy scouts, soccer, book clubs, hockey etc.
