Several people.... My dad, and my other mom and dad (my dads best friend and his wife that helped my dad raise me) were the biggest influences. But I've learned lots of little tricks here and there from lots of other people.  My one ex taught me alot - god that man was magic on a grill...   I also just love cooking and love to experiment :)

I didn't, that's the problem.....lol. I hate cooking and it shows in my food. DH is the one who usually cooks.

Even when we cook the same thing whether it be from scratch or a box, everyone agrees that his always tastes better.

Mostly from my dad, but a lot of it came from trial and error.

My mother. She taught me alot too. I also learn alot about cooking through trial and error. I learned what spices work with certain dishes and which don't, and I also learned how to be more creative with creating meals out of what I already have on hand in the kitchen. I still can't make spaghetti sauce as good as my mother. I am going to have her teach me her secret. I try to make it like she does, but I think I might be doing something wrong with the spices. My homemade sauce is good, but my mother's is so good that family members and friends said that if it was served in a resturant they would pay to eat it.
