In my experience of moving with kids and being a SAHM, the things that helped me the most were, Joining a church I liked, going to all the library activities/storytimes, Joining the YMCA, and finding a mom of a child in my sons class that I had things in common with. All those things helped me survive our last move to a town in the middle of nowhere with a husband who worked far away and a toddler all to myself all day! Good luck I hope this helps some!
