The leaves are changing near me and the mornings are cool. Fall is almost here!

What's your favorite thing about Fall? What are you looking forward to?

The cool breeze that is just the perfect temp for a flannel shirt or a cardigan and smells like fallen leaves.

Everything.

My birthday. My anniversary. Cooler weather. Football. Hoodies and jeans. Bonfires. The smells. Tailgating. Halloween. The good mood everyone seems to be in. The approaching holidays. In South Louisiana the cutting and harvesting of sugarcane is during Fall. The smells of the burning fields is sweet and I love it. Also in South Louisiana Autumn is festival season. If it can be celebrated, we have a festival for it.

A few examples are the Cattle Festival, Shrimp Festival, Crawfish Festival, Boudin Festival, Strawberry Festival, Sugarcane Festival, Catfish Festival, Cajun Music Festival, Jambalaya Festival, Boucherie, and of course Mardi Gras (which isn't until February or March, but still).

We don't have many leaves that change color here, they pretty much just die and fall off. But we have many more things to offer.

The crisp air, the colorful leaves, the fall smells like cinnamon, carving pumpkins, giving thanks, and celebrating family.

This year will be the best fall in a long time. My DH will be coming home from Afghanistan
