Do you talk politics with your friends?

Posted by   + Show Post
I usually don't. I have a lot of republican friends and we don't see eye to eye on virtually anything political. Even with my democratic friends I don't. I'll not sway from being a democrat, but don't have the same love for our president as them.

Funny, they are all different religions as well and we can talk religion without debate or insult, but politics seems to make them crazy.

There is only one friend that I will talk politics or religion with. With the rest, I will listen when they talk, but I keep my thoughts to myself.

Of course! I have a BA in Poli Sci and and working on my Masters, so a lot of my friends are from the program too. Even the ones who aren't though often discuss politics, I just have very politically engaged friends and I'm not afraid to disagree with them (which we mostly do). I really don't like to discuss politics with strangers or mere acquaintances though.
