What type of school do/did your kids go to? Which do you think is better and why?

K through 5. I think all the way to 8th is a huge gap in age. My middle school was 6-8.

My 5 year old is in a K-4 public school
My niece and nephew are in private catholic school. Uniforms are soooo expensive and tuition and all that.

I went to a K-5. Most of the schools in the area, unless private, are Elementary which go K-3 or K-5

K-7 then 8-12. We don't have a middle school here. Both of my girls are still in elementary school. The are both doing very well. I like our public schools.

Ours was primary K-2, elementary 3-5.
Middle 6-8, and high school 9-12.

They closed the elementary so it became primary K-4, middle 5-8 I also think some fourth graders are in the middle school this year because the fourth grade class is huge. Our middle school is huge, the primary is a small school.

We homeschool now and I think I'm keeping him home untill he's middle school age. I'm not really happy with grades 4 and 5 being in middle school.
