I am making a box too for my IL that live in the FL (we live in PR). I bought 6 travel games (cheap ones) Ludo, Chutes & Ladder, Memory, Guess who?, Scrabble and Hang man. I am turning the memory game in a Mr.X (my LO) memory game with his pictures and the Guess who to Who you know? with family pics.

I am also adding snacks and a little bag they can carry it all in the airplane.

If you can afford it buy all games travel style. It is much easier to storage and if you ever feel like a picnic at the park or beach day you can just grab one and go. Plus travel games tend to be water resistant and often magnetic so less damage or lost pieces.

Game suggestions:

Clue, Monopoly, Chinesse Checkers are good because you can plau between 2 or up to 6

Also add a couple that can be play by singles: memory, perfection.

And don't forget the good old decks it is inexpensive, fun for all... uno, go fish, mab libs on cards.

And finally a few paper pads, pens and dictionary (if you get a scrabble or such game).

Good luck!
