Our mascot was Willey the Warrior.
The year I graduated a freshman filed a claim saying that she found it offensive and they ended up stopping using it. This angered a lot of people in our town/school because it had been our mascot since 1940 and the girl that filed the claim only lived in the town for about 6 wks.
A warrior, (a native American) but we were the last class for this, the mascot eventually became a blue&white mustang (horse). They have pictures up of all the seniors throughout the years and on ours it's titled:Class of 96 The Last of their Tribe.

SkyHawk. Right after I graduated, they dropped the "Sky" and went to just the Hawk.

we were known as the Noble Knights!.... our mascot was a knight on a horse... so far there has not been any controversy over the mascot... it is sad that some schools have had to change their mascot when they have had it for so many years :(
