Absolutely appalled...am I the only one? Seriously?!

In another group a mom admitted that she lost her temper, hit her child in the face causing her to bleed.  She admits she has anger issues and asks what to do.  Pages and pages of comments are generally along the lines of "Calm down, breathe.  It happens to everyone." Seriously?! Am I the only one who thinks this is beyond wrong?  You hit your child hard enough to make her bleed and all anyone can say is - "Wow, well you know that's not right, so don't do it again."  Utterly appalled and devastated that that's the general consensus.

I am with you. My kids drive me up the wall sometimes, too, but I would never hit them. That is child abuse. Plain and simple.

I'm not about to judge the situation without seeing it with my own eyes.

I didn't see that and I spank my children but I do not hit them and make them bleed. That there is child abuse and that is not okay to do, and others who said they have done it too need parenting classes, and need to learn the difference between spanking and abuse abuse...
Losing your temper and slapping her is bad enough but slapping her hard enough to make her bleed is definately not okay
