.I have a 5 yr old daughter that is in Kindergarten. My problem is that unless someone tell her to go the bathroom she will not go on her own. We keep telling her if she has to the bathroom at home or at school let us know. But that is not helping can you all give me tips to get her to go on her own without us having to remind her all the time.

Sounds like my DD. I have her on a routine she has to go after breakfast, before bath, before bed. At school she doesn't go bc it's half day. She is in prek. I have to remind her throughout the day to pee. Poop is fine.

I know they give potty brakes in elementary school. Ask the teacher when they do potty breaks. Tell DD when they have potty breaks she has to go try. Tell the teacher about the situation.

My DD would just hold it all day until it burst if I let her.

Wow, I'm not sure. I like what Swt said - do a routine and stick to it.
