What time should I be putting my kids to bed?

Posted by   + Show Post

They are 5 & 6. We wake up at 7am so they can be at school by 8:20am. I am the first to admit I've been keeping them up much too late on school nights, partially because I work full time and feel like I hardly get to see them.

If you have children this age or have had children this age what bedtime schedule worked best for you?

I have 2 kiddos - 20 months and 7 years.... The 20 month old is in bed between 7:00-7:15 and the 7 year old follows at 7:30-7:45 and is typically asleep by 8:00 (after stories, prayers, taking nightly vitamins, etc...).  She (7yo) gets up a little before 7am to get ready for school, and he (20mo) is typically up about the same time.

I let my kids stay up to 8pm sometimes to 9 for special nights

Mine are 2 and 6. On weekdays they are in bed by nine (which means I tuck them in about 730 and we read, talk, say prayers then I lay with the girls in their room until they sleep). If they are extra tired I put then in bed at 7. They usually wake up t the same time no matter what :)

My girls are 6 and 4 and their bedtime is 9:30. I think alot depends on your kids and how much sleep they need.

Mine are 9 and 6, teeth brushed, prayers said and in bed by 830. If not, they are cranky and won't wake up in the morning. They are up by 7 and at school by 740, I have to be at work by 8.
