So... my almost 4 year old got her speech evaluation back and they strongly suggest that she has auditory processing disorder just like me. Sometimes I really loathe genetics. Just a vent.

Not much. It's a very frustrating disorder that takes a lot of time & commitment. In a nutshell, the person with APD seems to be deaf. Their speech is garbled and their ability to understand and follow direction is poor. The communication between the ears and brain is shorted. Listening to me talk is slow and painful as I stumble over words and create long pauses to "find" the next word. I watch TV with closedcaptions and my SO listens in on important phonecalls. I easily tire from concentrating on listening and I often get accused of being offish and cold because I don't join in conversations.
Having lived with it and knowing the frustrations of school and the limits on life, my heart just aches for her as we struggle together. I am crossing my fingers that she will really enjoy reading because that is the one thing that allowed me to be as successful at communicating as I am today.
