When you wash your dishes and/or use your dishwasher, which way do you put the handles for your forks and knives?

I put them handles up so nobody grabs them or gets stabbed or poked by the sharp points. My dh does the opposite, handles down.

We wash by hand because we don't have a diswasher. Unless you count my son...haha!

I put all silverware handles up. Even though I wash my hands I wouldnt want someone fingering up my silverware on the end that I stick in my mouth so when I empty the dishwasher I want to grab the handle not the clean part that someone is ganna stick in their mouth

I didn't vote. We put knifes done and forks go up. Since we do a bit of both.
