8yr old Birthday Party on Mothers' Day - Edited with Update ** I WIN**

Be honest would you go?

DH is talking about having our 8 yr olds daughter birthday party on Sunday, May 12th (which is her actual birthday and Mothers' Day) I say people won't come because some people feel Mothers' Day is super important (I'm not one of them at all) I think we should do May 4th because there is no baseball, no "holiday" etc.

Once again be honest would you go?

**EDIT**

ON Friday I am Booking the Party for Saturday, May 4th at 5:30p. Thank you ladies for all your responses. We are having the party at Chuck E Cheese and Adults have to stay, I can't follow a bunch of 7/8yr olds around. Now my only wondering thought is "Is my SIL going to bring my neices?" She's a Germaphobe and refuses to let her kids play at CEC yet takes them to Bounce U and Bouncing off the Walls.

We wouldn't go unless it was family.

Yes I'd let my kid go. It's a ridiculous Hallmark holiday, it's not like you are having it on Christmas. People need to get real, who is selfish enough to care about such things?

Uh, nooo. That's my day for my family to go on absolutely any outing I choose. Mother's Day is the only day I'm not dragged out somewhere they or DH wants to go.

No, I wouldn't. My girls would not want to go that day either.

I don't agree at all. I think saying that because someone cares about mother's day that are selfish or unreal is just assinine.

To be fair I wouldn't go to a party on a Sunday at all.
