Been through a deposition before? I am the plaintiff. Pretty nervous for no reason , but my memory is fuzzy ..... If you've been through one, PLEASE calm me down! :-/
I'm really nervous .

Hi Holly, there is absolutely no reason to be nervous. All that is going to happen is that you and or defendant will be ask a series of questions. It's NOT a trial. Hope that helps calm your nerves.

 I have sat in on them.  I work for the county jail.  The prosecution will help lead you with questions.  The defense will try to trip you up by asking the same question five different ways.  If you are unclear say " I do not understand the question, can you please rephrase it?" or" I do not recall".

 If you need a break, ask the judge for one.  Depending on how long the deposition is, the judge may grant a bathroom break.

Try to think through what you are testifying about before being deposed.  It will help with the memory.  Good luck!

Thank you. That IS the thing, though. I have a mild TBI from this causing memory loss, aphasia, among other things.
