Out of Frame

Do you say stuff to your kids that are out of their frame of reference?

I tell them "Good-night John Boy" at night and "Hop along Cassidy" when I want them to go away. They have no idea what either phrase is from, they just accept it as something I say to them.

Not that far back :-)

But my almost three yr old understand " slow your roll" means stop in your tracks. It works well.
