You can still get pregnant while on your period. Personally I don't like having sex while I'm bleeding.

Pregnancy.. there is a very small chance if u have irregular / short periods or ovulate close to when u start.
As for diseases... it's no more dangerous than any other day. Unless monogamous, there is always a risk

Well, we do want another baby in like a few years. I have a period that lasts 5-7 days. It is usually on time unless it changes (usually every few months) from either the beginning, middle or end of the month. Otherwise it is regular.
