A few nights ago I put dd down for the night (she is a year old) on her tummy. And she slept through the night. Whoo-hoo! I didn't think too much of it and put her on her back the next night and she was up again. So last night I put her in her tummy again. Sure enough, 9 hours of uninterrupted sleep!! I'm so happy. I may start to feel human again.

That's great that she slept through the night, but it's not recommended to put a baby to sleep on their stomach.

^ whats wrong with a 1 year old sleeping on their tummy?? As long as she can turn herself over she is fine..granted my youngest is almost 7 now but is there some "new" stuff I havent heard about?? mine all started turning themselves on to their tummies at around 7 months or so. (or maybe you added age into the OP after they commented ??)

Glad you are getting some sleep

Yeah, I figured it was safe since she's one year old now. She can almost walk on her own. I think we've passed the danger period.

At 1 year old, the risk of SIDS is almost nonexistent. It's fine to put her on her tummy at this age.
