I voted yes I wanted to, because I did. At the time. That lasted maybe two years. Then I regretted it, missed my name, and felt like I'd lost a piece of myself.

We were married 10 years and I am in the process of a divorce and can't wait to change back!

If I saw reason to get married again - I would keep my last name. Its mine.

Yes.  I am a very traditional person.  I can't imagine being married to my husband and NOT taking his name.  We have been married for over 21 years and I have never regretted doing it.

I'm not sure if I'll take his. I love him dearly, but his family is awful and I don't really want to be one of them.

What? No other? I changed my name because I decided to. But I was still waffling six months into the engagement. However, his last name is eight letters , so was mine and I couldn't convince him to combine them. Hah!

So after soul searching heavily, I took his name. I mean I sort of had two last names anyway... Maiden and my oldrr son's school always addresses me with his father's last name to which I shiver but don't correct. If I allow myself to be addressed as that, then it was incredibly unfair NOT to take my own husband's name when we married.

I had not thought about keeping my last name until my husband suggested it and I realized I really wanted to keep it.  He said the whole tradition of the woman taking the husband's last name was because she because his property, and that wasn't the kind of marriage he wanted.

Yes.  I wanted to, and I don't feel like I lost my identity when I changed my last name. I don't regret my decision at all.
