Cat! I just bought a kitten and love him to death! Cat's don't slobber all over you, beg for your food, bark, crap all over the place nor do they stink.
Dogs. Im allergic to cats. I just like that dogs can play with you and not get pissed off when you touch them and you can be rough with a (big) dog and not hurt it. I also like the protective factor too. I have a big dog and if need be, she could protect me.
slight leaning towards dogs, but we have neither.
Cats, because they are self sufficient. Now that I have DD I don't have a lot of time to be messing around with a dog's needs. I can leave for two days and not worry about them at all. I can clean out their litter box when I have the time, not have to drop everything and take a dog out when he needs to go. The cats aren't needy, or stuck to my leg, they don't drool or eat the furniture or dig holes in the carpet. I realize that a well-trained dog wouldn't do those things either but I don't have to spend the time training the cats, they just behave. They are small and I don't have to worry that they will one day snap and tear out DD's throat or something. I have had a LOT of pets in my life, of all kinds, and cats are currently the best way to go fo rme. Maybe when DD gets older and doesn't take up 150% of my time I will be able to think about getting a new dog but I hat the puppy training process. That's about it for my reasons, lol.
Dogs, I've never had a cat.
