My daughter gave me the scare of my life

My daughter pulled her hand away from my hand and ran into the grocery store parking lot. A truck came a few feet from hitting her. I wanted to tear her little butt up right their, but I was too emotional, but she got the spanking of her life when we got back to the van.

How old is she?  My dd is 6 and parking lots still make me nervous.

Same here. Old enough to know better but still too young to care. The problem with my daughter is that she refuses to accept the fact that she's 6 and thinks that "little kid" rules don't apply to her. She is stubborn and hard headed.

Oh, so it doesn't go away? I was sorta hoping she'd mature out of it.
