Can you hide or fake your emotions?

I wear my heart on my sleeve. People will always know how I'm feeling- sometimes it's good and other times it's not. I can't "fake" how I feel. I can't pretend I'm fine when something is wrong. Maybe it's a weakness. Idk. What about you?

Yes, I can.  It's both a good and a bad thing.  There are times when people don't really know how I feel BECAUSE I DO hide them.  At times, it leaves people confused about my behavior because there will be a disconnect.

Interesting. I think both are good and bad. I'm just terrible at hiding how I feel. Sometimes I wish I could though.

I was always good at it - even as a kid.  DH once said I was an enigma wrapped up in a mystery because I wouldn't show emotions and kept them pretty close.  In some intstances, it's good and a necessity to hide them but in other times I think that it becomes a liability.  In the last couple of years, I've been able to express them more freely and it took a lot of effort because it always felt like a really personal part of me.

No, I'm terrible at that. People can tell how I feel and if for some reason they can't, eventually I end up telling them all about it :P

Oh I can totally do that too.  I used to be very good at hiding my emotions. I must admit as I get older I seem to be more emotional, I tear up easily when I see touching moments on TV and stuff.  But most times you have no idea what I'm going through.

I don't wear my heart on my sleeve, but I tend to be very open about how I feel.  But I can also fake how I feel which does come in handy at times.

I am pretty good at hiding my emotions.  Especially if my kids are around, I am good at hiding fear or if I'm upset.  Also, when I am annoyed or stressed and out in public, I am very good at hiding it.  There are a few things that set me off no matter what - but I can usually control myself that the only outward display is tears.

I get told more often than not that I'm hard to read. And I'm not one of those smiley type people so I get accused of being in a bad mood often too. lol Which is usually not the case, I'm almost always in a good mood. Life is pretty good.
