Does anyone know? (Letter I got in the mail for my 11yr old)

I received a letter in the mail today for my 11yr old son from Student Ambassador Program stating they inviting my son to study in England and France for the summer 2014. Does anyone know how many kids get invited or if this is real? I wouldn't like my 11 yr old go overseas without me but I was just curious if this is random or a real letter?

This is real but your school usually nominates them. They can verify.

My dd11 got one in the mail yesterday for Australia. I don't know how common they are but she also got one last year for Ireland. We don't pay much attention to them.

It is legit but my husband sent me this link the other day.

It will cost anywhere from $5000 plus for this trip.  I thought about trying to send my daughter this summer but not after watching this video.

It's real. His school would have nominated him. My oldest is 17 and has gotten one every year since 10.

I would be leery on being invited to anything I did not sign up for.
