How much does your Tooth Fairy give for the First Tooth? (If you don't do that Tooth Fairy thing and don't agree please don't post)

A friend just posted she gave her kids $20 for their first tooth. I almost had a heart attack. My Hubby gave the kids $5 for the first and $1 every tooth after that and I was unhappy at him. I preferred $1 for the first tooth and .25 for every other tooth. They are kids why do they need so much for their teeth?  I just thought it was ridiculous.

What does everyone else do?

I gave my dd $20 for her first tooth, only because it was traumatic, she had it pulled (long story).  After that she receives usually around $3 per tooth, a couple of times I've given her $5 because I didn't have any singles, lol

I used to get 1$ For my tooth or no more than five. I would not give 20$ for a tooth it's not gold. My kids still too small but when my toddlers tooth fall out a George Washington bill is all he's gonna get.

If it was a traumatic experience I could understand that but this kids tooth fell out all by itself at a baseball game, so it wasn't tramatic. I understand the singles thing LOL

Our children get $1 per tooth. Even for the first one. I didn't realize the first one got more money than the others. But they'll still be getting $1 per tooth. We have six children. We would have to live in a box on Lower Whacker if we paid that much for teeth!!

We did ten for the 1st and whatever we had in our wallets for the rest.  Once we totally forgot to get dollar bills and we only had a twenty so we put it under our daughters pillow with a note saying she had to share with her younger sister.

My girls are a year apart so my younger one would write notes to the tooth fairy when her sister would loose a tooth saying she was doing good in school and being a good sister so we usually ended putting money for her too.

Our dd got $5.00 for the first tooth and gets varying amounts for her other teeth, depending on what I have on hand when she looses them.  My dad has a tendency to loose teeth in the middle of the night and then I have to wait for her to fall back to sleep to put the $$ under her pillow. lol

They get 25-50 cents for teeth. Even for there first tooth. Teeth that take longer to come out, or lose they get 50 cents, otherwise it is 25 cents.

My son just lost his first tooth a few weeks ago. He got $5 for his first and will probably get $2 or $3 for every tooth from here on out.
