My dd is 8 and my ds is 5. I'd like to start reading a book or series to them together.

Thanks!

My daughter loved the Warriors series by Erin Hunter. The Little House series is always good too.

We have read junie b jones- great series and the Judy moody series. We have also read all the classics. We've also read several nancy drew books.

Judy Blume is a good one too. I'm hoping to start HP soon but my youngest is still a little too young for it.

Am I reading this correctly, that they are 8 and 5 and you are just now starting to read to them?  Or are you asking specifically about longer chapter books that will appeal to both.  (I'm sorry if I'm missing something here.  It's early.)

If not, what have you been reading to them?  What kind of books do they already enjoy?
