Can I run vinegar through my Keurig?

My wonderful, thoughtful and resourceful 7 year old decided he wanted hot chocolate and instead of asking me to heat up his milk, he poured it in my coffee maker!!!!  I have cleaned it the best I can, and use the cleaner that is meant for the coffee maker through I don't even know how many cycles but I can't get the damn smell of bad milk out of it.  Any ideas?

Yes! I do it to clean from hard water. I cycle it through a couple times then rinse well.

We use it in ours about once a month.

I did, but it took a while to get coffee that didn't taste funky. Thank goodness my kids heat their drinks in the microwave. I couldn't imagine trying to get milk out of the Keurig.
