What's your indoor temp?

What temp is your house set at during the winter? And what state do you live in? ...is it worth the cost/savings each month?

Ours is at 68; we are in North Carolina so we don't need heat or air during September and some of October, and then again in April, so we save some $ then! Our house is older so it is a little pricey but I can't take it any colder.

We are in Maryland (DC area) and I adjust it as needed. I don't like being cold at all so its never actually set.

I just walked past the thermostat and it SAYS its 78 in here now (and the heat is off) BUT I'm cold and trying to wait until DF goes to sleep so I can crank that heat right on up

72 when DH is home, 75-78 when he's not here. I live in Michigan.

We have an outdoor wood boiler and a friend works for a tree company. DH takes the dump truck and picks up a load of wood, that they would have to pay to have removed anyways. (It's a win-win) So our heat is basically free maybe our electric bill goes up a little, maybe $10.

If we didn't have the wood boiler it would probably be over $400 a month because we have propane.

We live in NYC , we usually keep the bedrooms and bathrooms at 72-75 , and the rest of the house between 68-72 depending on floor and room. We have zoned heating/cooling in our house.
