So as I was making 2 different types of tea ( I drink unsweetened and DH drinks sweetened) last night I got thinking. My DH grew up in the south and I in the north. I have noticed that up north when you ask for tea you get tea, down south when you ask for tea you get sweet tea.

So I want to know where you were raised and what kind of tea you drink?

I was born/raised outside of Chicago but now live in Southern Texas. I love my sweet tea. My husband on the other hand is from OK and will only drink unsweet tea. Our family is confused, what can i say. lol

I'm in Massachusetts and when I order a tea, I have to say sweetened or it'll be unsweetened and yuck, I don't like unsweetened. It's good for my husband though, since he's diabetic.

I live in the south. It is sweet tea.

Yesterday we went out to dinner and the lady in the booth beside us ordered iced tea. That's exactly what she said. When her drink came it of course was sweet tea...the norm here when u ask for tea. So the server had to take it back and get iced unsweetened tea. I told my husband you could always tell when someone was from the north because they always ask for iced tea. Everyone in the south knows when you ask for tea it comes sweet and iced!
