I signed up for what is called budget billing in my area, which means my electric bill is the same amount each month.

Yes. My electric runs $400-$700. But I have a dairy farm. We burn wood for heat, so that's about $2,000 per heating season.

Electric isn't bad. We don't have gas or trash. Now water that's ridiculous and it's only going to get worse. It was $40 every 2 months when I moved here 7 years ago. It's now $100 every 2 months. Within 2 years it will be $150 every 2 months. That's the base rate for 1000 c.f. of water but I've heard they're lowering that to only cover 500 c.f.. after that we pay by the c.f..

We were hovering around $200 but we have a very small place so that is pretty high. It's always cold in here and it seems like the furnace isn't really running much. It will be nice to hopefully get back down to under $100.

Ours isn't terrible but in Florida, you're using the heat one day and the a/c the next in the winter! LOL

Our power bill was $444.55 this month and $398 last month. Anytime my power bill is higher than my mortgage I'm sad.
