Easter Desserts

What will you all be making?

Do you have a go to dessert that you do every year or do you change it up?

I used to make Easter Pie my favorite Aunt loved it, but after she passed away I haven't made it since.  I was thinking about making it again this year.

I know I'm making peanut butter cookies and I picked up cream puffs (my SO's favorite).  I'm not the only one bringing dessert, so I'm trying not to go overboard, there's always so much.

Although I still might make a chocolate cream pie,lol

I'm still deciding what to make.  I was thinking maybe a trifle or something cute for the kids.  I need to look on Pinterest.

I usually make a Lemon Daffodil Cake but since it is DS's bday on Friday and its just us for Easter I will probably skip the dessert this year. I am making DS a raspberry ice cream stuffed chocolate angel food cake. I am sure we will have leftovers.

Id like to have the recipes for both of those. They sound great!

I will slice it in half lengthwise and trench out the middle and add ice cream

then I put it back together and freeze it all.

he also wants a chocolate frosting of some sort. I havent decided if I am going to make a ganache or a basic fudge sauce.

Idk. We don't really do anything for Easter but I want to bake something with the kids. I'm thinking cupcakes.

I got the recipe from Giada De Laurentiis.  It's very tasty and very refershing.  I will say I leave out the pine nuts, my SO is allergic.
