Compare your pregnancies/deliveries for your children!

I'm 37 weeks pregnant with baby #2 and I'm interested to see how your pregnancies and deliveries varied with each child.

Answer these questions: How old were you? How was your pregnancy? How long was your labor? How hard was your labor? Did you use pain meds?

Here is my info:

Baby#1: I was 25, not too  nauseas, felt pretty good other than I was in a bad relationship that drained me financially and emotionally. I started having contractions at 8pm on a Monday night and didn't give birth until 11pm on a Tuesday. He was "sunny side" up and I pushed for two very long hours. I tore, had stitches and opted for an epidural at around 6pm that Tuesday. My water broke naturally. My healthy baby boy was 7lbs and 3 oz. 21 inches long.

Baby #2: No delivery yet, but I'm 31. I've had a lot more sickness, and of course I'm at the point where I'm getting excited to meet the baby! My plans are open for delivery, and I'm still considering pain med options if any! I'm in a great relationship and daddy is ready too!

#1: I was 30. Pregnancy was mostly fine, a little rough during the first trimester because I was very nauseous and sick. Unexpected emergency c-section at 34w2d after my water broke for unknown reasons. They were going to induce me but then every time I had a contraction the baby's heart rate dropped dangerously low so they had to take her via c-section. It all happened very quickly and was all around terrifying. Spent 23 days in the NICU. Kiddo just turned 2 and is incredible. Not sure if we will have anymore after that traumatic experience.

Wow! I'm glad your little one is great now! I know that would have been a scary experience. Enjoy your weekend!

Sorry, I'm not much help, my first was a vag birth, but my second was a c-section. So it's apples and oranges.

#1 I was 29, had almost no symptoms of pregnancy at all except weight gain starting at 7 1/2 months. It was so easy, dh and I kept forgetting I was preggo, lol. At 40 weeks and 1 day my water broke at 6:45 am, started pushing at 1pm and delivered at 3 pm. I did tear and needed a couple of stitches but he was a healthy 8 lb. 6 oz baby.

#2 and 3, I was 30. First one was so easy, I decided to do it again right away and got preggo with twins, lol. This pregnancy was just as easy as the first except I was in a very bad car accident at 28 weeks and was hospitalized for a week and then on bedrest for the rest of my pregnancy. At 35 weeks, my water broke at 7:30 pm, got to he hospital at 10 pm and started pushing at 3 am. Baby A was born at 3:11 am and baby B was born at 3:17 am. They were 5 lb. and 3 oz. and 5 lb. and 10 oz.

#4 and 5, I was 33. This was a surprise, I wasn't trying to get pregnant and didn't expect twins again. Because of the complications from before, this pregnancy was much more difficult and I ended up on bedrest again. It was uncomfortable but worth it of course. I had a scheduled c-section at 37 weeks since both babies were transverse breech. Baby A was born at 10:54 and Baby B was born at 10:55 am. They were 6 lb. and 4 oz, and 6 lb. and 8 oz.

Wow! 2 sets of twins? You're my hero! I have some friends that have twins and they want another baby but they are concerned that they will have twins again. I guess multiple multiples is possible! :)

#1 I was 21, pregnancy was easy and uneventful, I  was nearly 2 weeks past due and I went to be induced but got no further than cervadil when my water broke on its own. I labored for 24 hours when I finally got burnt out and labor stalled. I had a spinal block to help me get some rest but about 2 hours later the babys heart rate started dipping severely and not coming back. My awesome nurse-midwife who was there with me every second finally told me we should consider a c section. That happened and he arrived safe and sound at 6lbs 4 oz and 21 inches.

#2 I was 23 and it was also uneventful except some major food aversions. I was scheduled for a repeat c-section but the baby had other plans and I went into labor a day and a half ahead of time. They stopped my labor and planned a c section for the early am....but DH had different plans and ended up having a seizure(he has epilepsy related to his sleep patterns and being yanked up in the middle of the night was stressful to him so this was not a huge shock)....they rushed him to ER and my doctor was kind enough to re-reschedule my c section since my contractions were still VERY mild, until my DH could get on his feet again. The c section itself went smoothly and he arrive 5 lbs 13 oz and 20 inches.

#3 I was 25 , I was SO busy during this pregnancy I dont remember much, we were building a house with habitat for humanity then getting moved in and settled....The only "issue" we had was that we were told at our ultrasound that the baby was a girl. My scheduled c section date came with no problems and then we were surprised with a 3rd baby boy!! 7lbs even and 21 inches.

wow, everything seems uneventful for you until the end! What a surprise ending for that 3rd baby. I've had 3 ultrasounds because I had to see a specialist during this pregnancy and all 3 techs said it is a boy. If I have a girl, I'll be in for a HUGE shock! I have a name picked for a girl though, so we're safe, minus the 3 years worth of boy clothes from my son and nephew! haha
