My daughter is 10 yrs old. She has bowel issues since birth. Also she has anxiety She is in 5th grade, she went Kindergarten thru 4th grade at the same school but our school system moved all the local 5th graders to the Jr high. She has been having bowel accidents every day at school(they started about a week again) n she never did at her old school or at home n they happen around recess time. Me n her dad think it is the school or something is happening to her to recess. Would like advice?

You answered your own question in your post. The school system moved all of the 5th graders to the junior high, she has anxiety and has had bowel issues since she was a little girl. Her school routine has changed, which adds to her anxiety. Once her anxiety is controlled, her bowl issues should return to a more controllable circumstance. Is she in counseling? What are her coping skills for her anxiety? Does she have an IEP or a 504 plan to address the anxiety and medical issue? Address those and your daughter will get back on track!

She has an IEP for ADD but we are taking her to Dr to add her bowel issues n we will add her anxiety to her IEP.

Poor kid. Hope changing her IEP helps or you find something else that does.

Poor kid : (  When her anxiety is able to controlled, it should help her bowel issues. Poor thing.

If you're truly worried something is going on at school besides for basic anxiety you could either do a surprise visit to the school or you could ask a teacher you trust to help keep an eye out for any potential problems.

Aww, poor girl! It's embarrassing for that to happen at school too. Anxiety rears its ugly head all the time. 😟
