Can being dehydrated make you sick? My significant other was moving furniture and sweating a lot then worked overnight that night. He ate a big burger and started getting really sick an hr or so later and was fine when he got home. Can that be a sign of being dehydrated?

Yes you can get sick from being dehydrated. You organs don't function right, it can make it hard on your heart because your blood can thicken. It can make you nauseous. It can also make you feel faint.
