Just a post where moms to be with kids can share their thoughts and feelings.
30 yr old mother of 6,(ages 11, 7, 5, 3, 2, and just turned 1 on the 26th of August. Expecting 7 in December. Yes all of them are ours. No his and hers. It surprises me how much people so freely ask me that. I'm excitied and can't wait for our newest to arrive. Thankfully I've got alot of little helpers, so I'm not as tired as I could be.
Maybe they ask you because they have children with their spouse and an ex, or are a step parent to their spouses previous children and they think maybe you may be in the same situation and could relate without judgement...

I'm 33 with 3 children (11, 9 and 7) and one due May 27, 2010. It is so exhausting keeping up with school meetings, soccer practice, homework, etc AND being pregnant now. And its only the beginning of my pregnancy... lol Can't wait to meet our little one :)

I don't really fit in this catagory but I had 6 by the time i was 26. i am 32 now and my youngest is 6 but... i just wanted to comment on this... mine all have the same dad and i get those questions too. sometimes they are general inquiries of curiosity, and that's fine, but a lot of times they are not, it is judgemental questioning, i can't even begin to count the number of ppl that would assume we were on welfare or that i would be paying w/food stamps. i got to a point that i would just answer no they all have different dads and i don't even know who they are... that would send them off in a tiff that made my day.
once there was this man next to us in a resturant that just was so aggitated that we were there with all our kids eating in the same room as him. he just knew his tax dollars were paying for my kids to eat. it was rediculous.
and another time at this awful resturant when we complained, they accused us of just trying to get a free meal b/c we couldn't afford all our kids!!
so- to all you moms w/many and more on the way, (either by 1dad or 10 different dads) don't let the judgmental ppl get you down... they have no idea how ignorant they really are.

People ask so freely, in my opinion, ....large families in a non divorced family is just not a norm now a days. Most people now a days have 2 - 3 kids and that is it. And then the divorce rate is so high and remarry and combine families........ you see?
