Hi, I was wondering if A beka introduced and focuses on the long Vowels? Are your children learning to read short and long vowel words?
I was thinking of purchasing A beka's reading program for my son's 1st Grade yr. But the program we use now for K doesn't even introduce long vowels, so I'm wondering if he would be lost

ABEKA does introduce long and short vowels in Kindergarten. It goes over it again in first grade. They reteach everything again as a refresher in the next grade level. I've been using ABEKA for four years and I still love it.
