Hi I am actually new to this group and I love it!
We speak "Spanglish" at home.
Well, English and Spanish...I guess depending what's easier to say lol....my children are 9,5 and 2 and already speaking in 2 languages...isn't that awesome?
I am sure you are also proud of your little ones! (and yourself)
It's a blessing to know at least 2 languages and even to be able to help people in need when they don't know the language. Do you also think is a blessing?
Espero que tengan un bonito día!

I think it is great a child being bilingual. My children 5,3,and 5.5. mnths have always heard spanish 1st in the house. Then, when they started going to a babysitter they heard more english. I have taught english as a second language for the last 6 years and I think it is very important you teach your chld both languages. Also, when they enter kindergarden see if ESL is offered at your school if it is have your kids tested. It is not bad for a child to be in ESL. They are many positives 1)esl is content based working with read, writing and english skills, 2)We do NOT teach spanish or anything else ENGLISH 1st 3)they get to meet other kids that learned a foreign language 1st too. I have 40 burmese student and about 60+ spanish and they all get along and tell family stories. The older kids that came from latin american and burma tell there stories about there countries and how they go here! So i think is is great to teach your child another language.
