My Hubby and I have purposed ourselves to get out of debt and stay debt free. We where so inspired by The Duggars that we have taken on this calling from God. I was just wondering if anyone else is Debt free or on their way to living debt free?
Yes. We are working on the same thing. We got hit hard by the economy last year (reduced work hours to part time, layoffs), so we've already been debt free, then when hubby was laid off we incurred a bit of debt so that we could buy my medical supplies, pay for necessary vehicle repairs, and a couple of other things, but we're working ever so slowly on paying that off again. After that, we'll have just the house mortgage to pay off.
We still owe on our house. We paid off all credit cards. Paid the loan for our new furnace . Let me tell you work hard sacrifice the things you really don't need. Eat more meals at home. It's a very liberating feeling to know your debt free. There things I want to buy. But when I think I have 0 balance on my credit card . I think do I really want it that bad. I even have a 20.00 dallar credit in my card. We over paid on purpose.
