Love is Patient

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient bearing with one another in love. Ephesian 4:2 NIV

"Love is built on two pillars that best define what it is. Those pillars are patience and kindness. All other characteristics of love are extensions of these two attributes." (Kenndrick, 1)

Todays dare is all about patients. There are times when we all become frustrated and angry with our partners. When those times arise we need to practice the classic think before you speak. When things do not go your way do you rant and rave or do you wait patiently for your time to come? Remember anger never makes things better, it just spawns more anger. Patients will stop anger, bringing understanding to the situation.

Control your emotions, do not allow your emotions to control you. Being patient allows us to become wise, allows us to listen to one another, and it brings peace to your home and family.

DARE

"The first part of this dare is fairly simple. Although love is communticated in a number or ways, our words often reflect the condition of our heart. For the next nay, resolve to demonstrate patience and to say nothing negative to your spouse at all. If the temptation arises, choose not to say anything. It's better to hold your tounge then to say something you'll regret."

How did this work for you ladies? Please share

I got totally exhausted and got a little snippy with my hubby.  Fortunately he was understanding and it went well.  The rest of the day was a very happy experience.
