Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.
Ephesians 4:32
"...kindness is how love acts to maximize a positive circumstance."
The keys to kindness are Gentleness, Helpfulness, Willingness, and Initiative. Gentleness is how you treat your spouse even when the situation is difficult, speak the truth in love. Helpfulness is meeting the needs of your spouse, if this is just listening or something more. Willingness is kindness by being agreeable rather than stubborn. Initiative is taking the first step. Remember that love in its greatest and truest sense is not based solely on feelings. Thoughtful actions are determined by love, even if you receive nothing in return. "You will never learn to love until you learn to demonstrate kindness."
DARE
In addition to saying nothing negative to your spouse again today, do at least one unexpected gesture as and act of kindness.
