Get in touch with your creativity.

I simply love what Elaine St. James says about this one in the book. Has anyone gotten the book yet? I won't post it here as I am trying to honor the book and hoping some (or all) of you pick one up or at least check it out at the library! Again, the title is Inner Simplicity - 100 ways to regain peace and nourish your soul.

Cooking, writing, crafts, painting, playing music, figuring out clever ways to engage your children in learning, these are all forms of creativity. People are creative creatures and by allowing yourself your creativity, you are allowing yourself freedom of expression. Don't worry about judgement from yourself or others. Don't worry about perfection. Don't worry. Just create. Feel the freedom, be one with your creation. Let your inner self come out and play!

Care to share some pics of your creativity? Would love to see them!

  • My boys love being creative... they love to paint, color, cut out pictures and draw... Hubby and I love to sit with them and color, it makes for a really nice relaxing night.

I'll have to take some pictures of my photo books; my boys and I are so alike, I used to love to cut out pictures and paste them in books along with poems or quotes I liked.

  • Thank you for reminding me that it's quite alright to simply create!  When I forget & get lost, I'm so concerned with my art & my writing/editing being perfect, that I manage to suck the joy right out of it all.  *giggle*  Imagine being that unconscious for even a moment!  *wink*

Bless your heart, darling, for this gentle & timely reminder.

    I love you!

    Hugs...Ceci
