I recently came out of the closet and declared that I can not keep a secret. I made that admission because I had so many secrets in my vault that I have begun to forget which ones where actual secrets, and which ones were okay to tell.

Which got me thinking about gossip: Is gossip only gossip when it is bad news like, "I know this lady who has a veneral disease that she got from her lover. She didn't tell her husband, instead she got him a perscription of medication and told him to take it for his sinus infection."?

Is it only gossip when it is mean spirited talking, or is it also gossip when it is good news: "I know this lady who is having another baby!"

Is there a gossip distinction? A fine line? Is there any way that I can have a gossip website in which I am not breaking the commandment, "Thou Shalt not bare false witness."?

I am starting a group specifically designed to turn everyone who comes, reads, and leaves a comment into a sinner . I am justifying my sin with the idea that if the comment starts with, "I know a lady who..." it isn't exactly baring false witness about an actual person.

It is, however, getting the gossip of our chests. Where you know it's been festering. Come on, you know you want to tell someone about that one thing your neighbor does.

Then we can all point and snicker, or maybe offer up good advice. Or maybe just know that we aren't complete freaks, cause there is another lady who...
